We are InFocus Canada ("InFocus" or "We"). Our mission is to tell compelling stories using premium quality wearable products made from ethically produced materials showcasing photography from the best professional photographers. Sales of our scarves and other products (our “Products”) help raise money for, and awareness of, important charities. We conduct all our business with heart and dedication. Your privacy is very important to us, and we are committed to protecting it by complying with this policy.

This purpose of this policy is to provide you with information about how we collect, use and disclose personal information.

Personal information we collect

When you visit our Website, we collect certain information from you automatically, such as your IP address used to connect your computer to the internet, and other technical information such as  your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, or information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Website, and usage details. Other information is provided by you, upon request from InFocus.

For example, if you create an account with us on the Website, we ask for your name and email, a username and a password. If you decide to purchase a Product through our Website, we collect information required in order to complete the purchase transaction. We ask you for your:

  • shipping address
  • billing address
  • email address
  • phone number
  • credit card information for the order

This information will be shared with our online shopping cart provider and payment processor, Shopify. We use shopping cart features that safeguard this information by using industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encrypted servers. SSL encodes the information transferred between you and the server, rendering it unreadable to anyone trying to intercept the information. Your credit card data is not collected or stored by InFocus. You may also provide your name and email address if you would like to receive our newsletter, or promotional and informational emails from us. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter or receiving emails from us any time.

We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and your right to access, and to provide you with the personal information that we hold about you or make your requested changes. Applicable law may allow or require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all of the personal information that we hold about you, or we may have destroyed, erased, or made your personal information anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices. If we cannot provide you with access to your personal information, we will inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.

We will post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Website home page.
